About Me

I'm a native Californian, an artist, photographer, printmaker, and outdoorsy person. I love hiking and camping and can’t wait to head to the woods and get back on the trail.

I have no set agenda in the forest. I can hike if I want to explore, laze around camp, read if I wish to rest, or drive to unfamiliar places on my map to listen to bird songs. I come home from each excursion feeling relaxed and refreshed, ready to get back to work.

Cities are busy and dense with activity, and commuting saps my energy. Skylines with more steel and concrete than treetops and craggy granite don't inspire me for very long. So, whenever the rat race gets too much, I escape to the forest.

This blog is a giant love letter to nature. I intend to fill it with photographs, adventures, skills, and great recipes to enjoy around the campfire.
